Why Wait?

Why Wait?

While sitting in Church this past Sunday I heard a sort of folktale that turns our culture of busyness on its head and basically provides a blueprint for how we want to live our lives.

The story goes:

One day, late in the morning, An American investment banker was standing at the edge of the pier in a small coastal village when a small boat with a single fisherman docked.  Inside the small boat were several large yellow fin tuna.  The banker complimented the fisherman on his haul and asked, “How long did it take you to catch them?”

WE ARE MINIMALISTS (In Training)

We Are Minimalists (in training) Forty:8th & Tailored is being built on principles of minimalism. It was born to be a fresh take on the barbershop experience, and conciously grounded in simplicity.

Sure we could have opened another neighborhood barbershop in a busy shopping center, with 800-1200 square feet and 6-10 barbers on staff, but that has been done (and done very well by a few) and it wasn't our vision. Our vision is top-notch service minus unnecessary excess. By stripping away the superfluous, such as high overhead, wasted space, exorbitant expenditures, etc., we are able to build a brand that allows us to live our passion (barbering) and our mission (giving).

This is Forty:8th

We have always believed that barbering is art...we just paint a little bit different. We wanted to bring the art and culture of proper barbering to our clients in a manner that was personal. The Forty:8th & Tailored Barber Suite was created, not because we couldn't get a larger shop, but because You didn't need one. Instead of being another shop in the neighborhood, we carefully constructed our brand with minimalism and service as the focal points.
